Developed in conjunction with our other Ecotune fueling upgrades, the Ecotune 1.8TSI LPFP Upgrade addresses existing hardware limitations and with the appropriate ECU calibration will provide stable fuel pressure with full control in low and high load scenarios.

Ecotune 1.8TSI EA888.3 Low Pressure Fuel Pump Controller Upgrade

The low pressure fuel pump (LPFP) controller in the Polo GTI 6C is a critical component responsible for regulating fuel delivery from the in-tank pump to the high-pressure fuel system. Over time, the factory LPFP controller can degrade due to thermal stress, electrical wear, and aging components, resulting in reduced performance and insufficient fuel pressure, particularly in high-demand scenarios like Stage 3 tuning applications. This deterioration often manifests as a drop in fuel pressure under load, leading to lean conditions, power loss, or even engine misfires, as the controller struggles to maintain the necessary pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal to drive the pump effectively. For modified Polo GTI 6C vehicles pushing beyond stock power levels, this limitation becomes increasingly apparent, making an upgrade essential for reliable operation.

The Ecotune LPFP controller upgrade addresses these shortcomings by replacing the aging factory unit with a more robust and capable solution, designed to deliver consistent fuel pressure across a wider range of operating conditions. The Ecotune controller ensures the LPFP can meet the elevated fuel demands of Stage 3 setups, typically involving larger turbochargers, increased boost, and ethanol blends like E85. This upgrade eliminates the pressure drop issues seen in deteriorated OEM controllers, providing stable fuel delivery to the high-pressure pump and injectors, thus optimizing combustion efficiency and safeguarding engine performance under high-load conditions.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
