I bought this system from eco tune around 4 years ago and fitted it my self which was a bit of a do but with a few calls to Stan who was extremely helpful i managed it very successfully and having a year later fitted a Wagner uprated Intercooler also , I’m now posting this 4 years later my car a 535D Touring E61 has been bloody fantastic must be running about nearly 400 BHP and believe it or not has covered 240000 miles since fitting at about 45000 miles and with no related issues , Ecotune have made these maps safe and extremely good with a fantastically smooth linear power delivery and torque for which out pulls M3s and the like , I cannot recommend Ecotune enough , and will be looking to do the the same with my new F11

ECOTUNE came highly recommended by a couple of workmates so I went for it. AMAZING what they can do!!! 335d X drive went from 310 to 397HP, torque from 447 to 540!!!! Stan could have left it after tweaking to 380ish but he wanted more so ran the engine for 10mins to clean the filter then got it to 397. Once I found some open road I was grinning like the joker in batman! (The wife was not so happy though). So a big thanks to Stan and the guys, first class friendly service. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

Well what can I say? The facilities at Ecotune are fantastic, All the Staff are friendly and helpful and the coffee, viewing area of the dyno & PS4 with car steering wheels etc is great too but now what the guys managed to do to my car! my car made 146 BHP & 235lb ft of torque standard and after Stan working his magic (Stage 1) the car made 207BHP & 321lb ft of torque! Absolutely unbelievable! The car pulls like a train in all gears and it’s like a completely different car. Thank you very much Ecotune.. Very happy customer. I will be going back to have Stan do an EGR delete and have the map tweeked in the next month or so looking forward to that! I had the pleasure of dealing, firstly with Campbell and then with Stan. They are were extremely efficient and helpful. As i am new to tuning they werent rude or condescending. The office is excellently well equipped with very comfy sofas, viewing windows and Big TV screens. Although not fully sure of the full process to a remap, it sure feels like you are part of it. This is without mentioning the car. As a 1.6 twin scroll turbo, it makes a perfect candidate for an upgrade, and what a difference it made. 134bhp to 214bhp. Fantastic!

They took a while to get it right due to speed limiter kicking in on the car that they had not seen before but they persivered and after about 10 runs got a good result That was 6 months ago and its been reliable and great ever since. Over 50% increase in power and 60% increase in torque. I now have a very zippy fiesta with zero road tax and average 47 mpg. Whats not to love about that?

Don't hesitate it's a must ..after meeting stan he took good care of my car talked me through the process... this guy certainly knows his stuff when it comes to tuning such a friendly environment and staff were very helpful and made you feel welcome.. he transformed my car into an animal it's a pleasure to drive

The car is now running 323bhp with 360 ftlb of torque. All I can say is OMG, it's like night and day the car is amazing. bmw 335d on bio diesel sport cat 350 brake 500lbs Im a chef and know a little about dealing with public. Ecotune should pride themselves in support , customer care and after sales service . NO boby could sort out my turbo problem so took the 7 hour trip up to glasgow met the team stayed the night in travel lodge came home next day with the biggest grin . Now sadly 335d is gone primarily because my wife also a laura sais happy wife = happy life. Boys you know this to be true!! now shes very happy . Ecotune are in the process of sprinkling their magic dust on my e70 x5 which should be a wisper behind a M50d with some 550lbs and 370brake again on bio diesel so ive got the wife ive got the car ive got the power . im living in ecotune heaven cheers ECOTUNE

Stan , Andrew and the reception boys could not have been more welcoming to me they are all very knowledgable on the Audi brand , Stan took me out in his C7 RS6 Apr staged tuned beast its fast beyond belief after a few teething troubles with my cars ecu system the problems were quickly resolved in house and my car was made ready for my 75 mile trip home . The stage one remap has produced 357 Bhp and 724 nm torque the mid range power is fantastic and intoxicating I would not hesitate to recommend Ecotune Scotland.

Going from 195bhp and 205 torque to 255bhp and 288 torque,amazing job,polite and treated my car like there Own,as for everyone saying it can be done for half the price forget it,these are professional lads at ecotune and my car drives great thanks guys

I met Stan, Campbell and the team while exhibiting as Edinburgh Watch Company at the Ignition festival. I had been considering tuning for some time as the turbo charged engine is a perfect platform to modify. There were so many options to consider from bolt on boxes, other well known tunes or a custom remap. Having read various articles in forums a custom remap and a rolling road gives the best results so this is what I agreed to do. Having had a very successful event at the Ignition Festival Ecotune were swamped with orders from customers like me that wanted more smiles per miles! Stan could not have been more accommodating to my impatient desire for more bhp! So 48 hours later I was on my way from Edinburgh to Ecotune's premises in Hillington. They say first impressions count! On arrival I saw the latest Honda Type R being finished off with a massive 360hp awaiting it's excited owner! The reception is really welcoming, leather sofas, big plasma tv's and a viewing gallery of the rolling road and the workshop. They just need a bar and this would be a very cool place for petrolhead to hang out. The team were really friendly too, you got a real sense that all of them were happy at their work and proud of the job they do. So the Mini keys were taken off me, a hot cup of tea was provided while the JCW went for it's open heart surgery. The viewing gallery had a plasma linked to their computers so when the car was on the rolling road you could see how it was performing which was fascinating especially when the torque had increased by over 100ft-lbs and the hp from 230hp to 280 hp. After a couple of hours the job was done, the car was road tested and then the keys were handed back and I parted with some money! The run back to Edinburgh and the subsequent 350 miles have been a blast. It is sooooo much quicker than before and I would struggle to think of anything much better for the money which you can drive every day and get 30+ mpg. So in summary I am delighted, if you fancy a modification in trusted hands Ecotune is the place to go! My thanks again to all the team... I may be back for a little more Mini surgery. I would like to thank the team at Ecotune in Glasgow for excellent service and end result from mapping a 6T. In Scotland very few tuners can be trusted to map this kind of car and I have to say that I was rather impressed both with the attitude and the actual end map. The car is up in power considerably now showing a full bar of boost (1.0) up from stock 0.6 with 0.7 spike, the mid range is great and the low down take up is better. Thank you to Stan and his team and anyone unsure about where to go in Scotland now have an option.

Having just recently had my 330d m sport remapped i can honestly say it drives completely differently now!. It used to bog down at low revs in higher gears and struggled with fourth gear at 30-35mph..Not any more.In everyday driving it feels far more spirited and less cumbersome and when you press the throttle the difference is massive!. Here is even better news = I did a fuel test run on it today and achieved a genuine 57mpg on a 116 mile trip which with very careful driving only sipped 9 litres of fuel!. Thank you guys for transforming my car!

Used Ecotune for their stage 2 package fitment and remap (DPF & CAT delete),I am a mechanic and letting someone else work on my car didn't sit right with me but the guys have done a great job, parts and workmanship are excellent and the difference in the car is just mental, a very professional service and highly recommended! I bought the decat downpipe as the flexi joint had snapped and having already replaced this part with an OEM part once I went for the decat downpipe. I wish I had done this first time round as its makes such a difference to how the car drives and delivers power. The turbo comes in earlier allowing town driving to be much smoother and easier. When you get the chance to open the throttle the car revs much smoother. Part was well made and fitment was good. Will definitely recommend and use ecotune again.

Guys, What an awesome end result, the car is totally transformed and pulls like a train, that mid range torque it now produces is certainly addictive to say the least and it has oodles of power on tap from any revs. I'd recommend any BMW 3litre TT diesel owner to try it for yourself and wait to be amazed. Great job from a great team of guys.

Dropped the car off to the guys in the morning after picking up a last minute cancellation slot on the Sunday. Chose to come here after acknowledging the substantial difference in gains compared to all other remap specialists, and also their extent of experience. Car gained outstandingly, where else can you get an additional 60 bhp and over 310 lbs of torque in a stage one remap? These guys are good.

Got a DPF delete & remap now feels like a different car. Well looked after by Stan and the guys & won't hesitate to get any further work done here :)

A real credit to Stan and the team! Car is an absolute weapon and is completely transformed. Has heaps of punch and NO lag in the bottom end and throughout the entire rev range with sharper, quicker gear shifts. Also has a nice exhaust note and louder turbo whistle. Next will be the intercooler upgrade.

After having this software for a year I kept intouch with Stan for future developments. When he made me aware he had produced stage 2+ I just had to get it done. And afterwards i am still completely happy with my car 10/10 to Ecotune they really do work hard to make you happy. Well worth the 3 1/2 drive each way to get this done.

I am now on my fifth year of having my car transformed by Stan! i can still remember picking the car up after the work had been done, on the journey home from Renfrew to Motherwell i thought i was driving a different car, what a difference it made. After five year the car is still pulling like a train and what a sound! brilliant.

I have had the full exhaust system fitted to our E46 320D touring for 2.5 years now. I fitted it myself. Removing the original front pipe was awkward, so I'd recommend paying for fitting if possible. The two significant benefits are a) notably better flexibility at low revs, it's now happy doing 25mph in 4th, rather than 32mph previously, so town driving and small twisty lanes are much more relaxing. b) very significant improvement in fuel economy- I get around 16% better. On long runs I used to get a 57-60mpg, and now I get 64- 70mpg. Short journeys are also better, and I find it easy to get 50-51mpg rather than 44-45mpg. Note- these are real measured figures, not the car's own fuel computer which typically reads 84mpg on long journeys. I would also recommend using genuine BMW exhaust rubber fittings. I originally bought pattern ones, which failed after 18 months, and fitting the BMW ones made the exhaust system quieter.

Having recently taken delivery of an Audi R8, I decided that the only thing that could be improved upon was the noise, especially in the cabin. As standard, it was just too muted. I contacted Ecotune who organised shipment of the exhaust and we arranged a mutually agreeable date. This being a 10 hour job, I dropped the car off the night before in order to allow them to start work early the following day. The car has some (non-standard) additional electronics around the rear bumper area that made the job all the more difficult. Stan and his team stayed back until almost 10pm to ensure the Job was completed and to allow me to collect the car on the same day. Stan even took the time to show me round his immaculate premises after they had finished. Exceptional service and workmanship from a friendly and professional team of enthusiasts. I will certainly be recommending them and no doubt using them again myself in the future. Cheers guys on a job well done. Oh, and the exhaust sounds phenomenal!!

I have a 535d e61 lci and after two months of trouble free motoring, the dreaded dpf light came on. This being my second time with the dpf problem; the previous time on my e90 330d I knew where to take it. Ecotune took the dpf off, did an egr bypass, fitted a sports cat and a remap. The gains on this engine are phenomenal. This is the third month I've had the remap and have noticed about a 2-3mpg gain in economy and performance is now incredible. It can wheel spin at 70 and mid range grunt is immense. The howl you get as standard on the 535d is more pronounced with the sports cat. I strongly recommend Stan and his crew to anyone considering a performance tune or just to get rid of dpf problems. Can't wait to see what they make out of the F-series range of BMWs.

Car has loads more pull in the lower revs and reaches redline before you know it! Highly recommended product along with great customer service.

After a year’s worth of hassle with my Zafira SRI diesel and £1500 wasted I found out about Ecotune in Hillington. I took my old banger to them and they gave me back the car that I always wanted a good economical family car for the wife and a hooligan on 4-wheels for me still grinning every time I drive it. Just had Ecotune's stage 1 software put onto my A5 3.0tdi V6 Quattro, all I can say is wow! I was literally left speechless when I took it out for a drive. Power, torque and fuel economy are all drastically improved. I could go on for days listing all the things that feel better about the car. I have to admit I was a bit nervous hitting the start button after uploading the new map. There were a few strange error messages appearing on the dash and idrive screen as the new map uploaded.
Nothing to worry about, everything was clear when I turned the ignition back on and she fired up perfectly.

Just writing to pass on my high praise of the service and goods I ordered last month.

 

Recently bought a complete straight through exhaust for my e46 320d - can only remark on what a difference. Much faster response time from the turbo - more torque in the low range and much more once on the motorway. Not to mention the sound!

 

Brilliant yet simple piece of kit that has really freed up the engine - added 1 or 2 MPG, and has pushed the car up over 60MPG on the long haul journeys. (I think any other gain has been lost to my right foot!)

 

If anyone is having second thoughts about putting money into upgrades from Ecotune, I can confirm that feeling will be washed away once you get your hands onto your updated motor!

Hello, I recently bought the DPF OFF & iFlash Package and would like to thank you for the fantastic customer service I received.

I have a BMW 118D and the power difference from before and after is immense. It pulls in third and 4th like it used to in 2nd, over-taking is an absolute doddle on anything other than an autobahn.The power is as linear as always but it's obviously much stronger, it even gives out a deep grumble past 3,800rpm.

MPG has shot up, before I was covering about 46-48mpg on a 20 mile trip to work. Now I'm hitting about 55 and that's not light-footed either!

I can't praise it enough really and the communication has been absolutely brilliant, Stan has answered everything I've asked and always kept me informed of what needed to be done and how he would do it. I thoroughly recommend Ecotune to anyone thinking of getting a re-map, excellent quality product, excellent customer service and excellent results. I can confidently say the prices are justified because you get what you pay for, I will certainly be going back to you in future when I move onto something else. Best mod I've done to the car so far and I have no regrets doing this.

I just got home with the beamer after fitting the DpF off kit and iflash, I have got to tell you how impressed I already am.

I work for a large international dairy firm as a Driver Training Manager, I have a number of qualifications in driving and the whole ethos of my position is to get drivers to perform to a higher standard; most especially to improve  their fuel economic driving. It goes without saying that this naturally carries over in to my own driving.
 My 05 plate 525d will manage a erspectable 37.5mpg on a combined run, and in the past I have had a "** UK" plug n play box fitted which gave spritely performance and would return 39mpg. Now, fitted with your dpf off and i flash (I went straight for the maxi tune program first) I have driven home - all urban - and already returned 42.5mpg. Not only that but the mapping is excellent. A 5 series BMW is never a dog to drive but with the new software its a whole lot smoother, no strange flat spots and most importantly for a tuned engine; no rediculous suprises and sudden power boosts that catch you mid bend.

As someone who makes a living by managing gains in fuel efficient driving and proving what does and doesn't work I have no hesitation in recommending your products and services. Anyone who wants a genuine improvement in fuel economy should look no further.

Over my standard car i can see 5mpg more than before, and I havnt even been for a long run yet! Cant wait to try the eco tune map. Im happy to report back my MpGs if your interested as for work purposes I keep a weekly check.

Just writing to say thanks for the DPF off pipe and remaps for my BMW 3 series. Delivery was good and the components were beautifully made.

The fit was carried out by Carl and Jeremy at Burton Motor Workshop and as ever the service advice and feedback was excellent and to be recommended as at least BMW standard or higher in my experience.

As it's been -8 degrees the past few weeks driving has been limited but on the good days my impression  was that the car performs much better than it ever did as standard with improved low down pick up and decent torque at low revs.The engine revs much more freely and the shove is at least equal or better than BMW 330 in back to back comparison.

Difficult to assess but fuel economy was slightly better despite enthusiastic driving at times so another plus point.

The only problem is the maxi tune which I haven't used as the car wheelspins now under acceleration in the first 3 gears but next summer should be a laugh.

So many thanks as this seems to be the most considered option for any DPF failure and leaves you with a better car to boot as well as costing far less than replacement by manufacturer.

I am writing to say a big thank you for all your help and advice on my BMW 525D M Sport.

Basically we had the choice of replacing the DPF filter at a cost of around £1500 plus fitting from BMW or go with your product the DPF removal downpipe plus a software upgrade for a much lower cost. Now after having your product fitted we definitely made the right choice!

We've had the car back a week now and it feels much more powerful, I've also noticed a slight improvement in MPG so a big bonus!

I am writing to offer my sincere thanks for all your help on my BMW 330D! After my DPF blocked I could not believe I was faced with a bill from BMW of around £1400 for replacement. I initially took it to them with this fault and they carried out a process they call filter regeneration at a cost of £180. I thought great it’s fixed, but about a week later the light was on the dash again, my mpg never improved and my car had lost its performance again.

It was not until I googled this fault that I learned that I was not alone and many others were joining me. Your details kept popping up and I am really glad we called you!

The kit you sent me was fitted at our local independent BMW specialist and the mechanic commented on the quality of your product and in his words, he said it was “a pleasure to install”.

The programmer you sent to complete the software upgrade was very easy to use and the built in diagnostic code reader meant I was able to identify my faulty ABS sensor which was replaced at the same time!

I have to say that an increase in performance was not really what I was looking for but I just cannot believe the performance from the car now! It’s outrageous with the Ecotune level! It just feels like it has had a newer bigger engine installed... We towed our caravan from Preston to Portsmouth last weekend using your Envirotune software and you could hardly feel the weight of the van under acceleration. We have made this journey many times and the fuel consumption was much better than it has ever been before!

We love our car and just had to write to say, keep up the good work! You saved us a fortune and gave us a car that was better than it was to begin with.

I've just got back from a two hour drive after having my car remapped and a full stainless decat exhaust fitted. All i can say is it's bl**dy fantastic, the car revs a lot quicker and doesn't die off nearly as much at higher revs allowing safer overtakes. The power comes in very smoothly and really takes off from 2k revs and really pushes you back in the seat, the exhaust has a deeper tone without any annoying drone at a steady speed. I can hear the turbo whistle a lot more now although after 2k revs this disappears, there is no black smoke at all under acceleration. The car is a lot freer reving and the engine braking is slightly less, nothing holding it back now i guess.

I'm well chuffed with the car now, if your thinking about doing this, don't! Just do it you won't be sorry.

Just some feedback on the Remap you did on my 3 series last week. Been driving the car for about a week with the upgrade and i'm very happy with the increased acceleration and the slight improvement in fuel consumption. Seems like a new motor and i'm having to stop myself from ragging it at times. Cheers for the service.

Astra felt great on the way home, I would describe the car being on normal mode as feeling like the previous sport mode, and once the sport mode is on the only thing i can say is that it wants to take off. The handling is great with no adverse change, alongwith the brakes still being brilliant, acceleration is amazing and the overall performance of the car has dramatically improved, and the remap was well worth it. Overall I am very impressed with the new car i've got as that is how it feels.

Fitted one of Ecotune's front decat pipes today. WOW what a big difference it makes, not fully tested as yet, as just drove back from mates garage, (2 miles ) feels so much more responsive, i noticed as soon as i started the car it ran so much smoother. in the nxt few days i will be testing it fully on open roads to wrk and back... many thanx... this is a must have upgrade guys Very Happy.

Stan, I would first of all like to thank you for treating my car as if it were your own. You certainly know your stuff, not just answering my questions but also able to provide helpful advice about the whole of the car, including the egr bypass.

The transformation of my car since the remap is amazing, I didn't expect petrol like performance from a diesel, but with more power. I now also have more low down torque, something the 320d was in need of. You were also right concerning the driving experience, the responsiveness of the car is a joy to drive and must confess that I have been unable to drive conservatively. That being said, although I haven't run the car brim to brim yet, the computer indicates a fuel tank range of 140miles remaining with 500miles done (majority commuting in rush hour) and an average of 46mpg. Life's too short to drive like a daisy and I'll be more than happy to get this economy with cracking acceleration.
