It’s very rare that the Ecotune team get to experience a dry evening at Knockhill and our most recent track night was evidence of this as the sky only seemed to open the moment we arrived!

Never the less, the customers we invited wasted no time in getting straight out there and sending it. There was a whole host of incredible cars on track throughout the evening, some notable mentions being Gurminder’s V10 Lamborghini Huracan, Gary’s GR Yaris, Sean’s 7XXhp TTRS and Stefan’s 5XXhp Audi S3.

This 5XXhp Audi S3 is fully kitted out, from the Ecotune developed Race Engine, to the Venom 9 Turbo, Stefan has opted for everything from the Racingline Catch Can to an AEM Methanol Kit and much more in between. Stefan tasked the Ecotune team with specifically spec’ing his car for track work and a key component of all that is the big brake kit. We fitted a spectacular Vagbremtechnic supplied, AP kit, with 6 Piston calipers and 362x32mm grooved discs. This is the 9040 package and is worth every penny when you’re giving them an incredibly hard time around Knockhill. We found the best pads to pair with these to be the Ferodo DS1.11, although we’d advise a more tame set for your daily road use, like the DS Performance pad.

Norman’s Audi TTRS has just about every handling upgrade known to man. Over the years, we’ve fitted an insane number of upgrades to ensure this car handles better than near enough everything else on the road. When it comes to bringing it on track, this blue Stage 2 rocket is one of the most capable machines around.

034 Motorsport’s UK stock has been thrown at this car, with improved engine and transmission mounts limiting play, rear tie arms, dogbone mounts, control arms and plenty of bushes in between. We recently supplied a KW V3 kit for this which really completes the car, providing comfort to and from the shops, with ultimate performance on track when needed. It doesn’t end there though, Norman’s TTRS is also APR Stage 2 and is pushing well into the 5XXhp range with 034 Closed Top Intake, Wagner intercooler, Wagner secondary cats and much more.
