A larger intercooler for the BMW 135i, 1M and 335i with the N54 or N55 engine. It replaces the original intercooler, which has restrictive quick-click connections, with a much bigger core, conventional hose connections, reinforced silicone hoses and an aluminium J-pipe.

Core volume 15517 cm3 against 6933 cm3 for the original, 124% larger.
Frontal cooling area 1151 cm2 against 658 cm2, 75% larger.
Airflow at 0.15 bar (2.18 psi) pressure drop: 498 CFM against 354 CFM, 41% higher.
Intake air temperature after the intercooler 43 deg C against 58 deg C for the original, 15 deg C lower (335xi N55, otherwise standard).
Peak gain of 13 hp measured on a 335xi N55 with a Stage 1 tune.
Connections changed to conventional 3 in (76 mm) hose fittings, replacing the quick-click type.
All-aluminium with continuous welds.

Specifications

Part number: ICM-350-S.
Contents: intercooler, reinforced silicone hoses, 2.5 in (63 mm) mandrel-bent aluminium J-pipe, bolts, washers, clamps, plastic air guide and installation instructions.
The J-pipe fits the original charge pipe, or any aftermarket charge pipe designed for the original plastic J-pipe.
The original plastic air guide must be trimmed to fit; the supplied air guide fits on top of the core to stop air bypassing it.
