Re-engineered internals in a complete, purpose-built unit, supplied on a genuine OEM housing so nothing is fitted into your used pump.
Beyond 500HP on the EA888.3 2.0T, the factory HPFP reaches its volumetric limit. It can no longer maintain stable fuel pressure under high demand, and that becomes a reliability concern the moment you push further or introduce ethanol into the system.

Developed on the Golf 7R programme
This pump was developed as part of Ecotune's Golf 7R programme, the same car that ran an 8.82 quarter mile at 925WHP. That programme demanded a high-pressure fuel pump that could maintain consistent pressure delivery well beyond what the factory unit or any existing aftermarket option could provide. The result is a unit that has been re-engineered from the ground up at Ecotune's UK facility.
The piston bore area is 35% larger than factory. The intake plenum volume is increased by 40%, and the fuel distribution channels are doubled while retaining the OEM pulse buffer system. Rather than replacing the piston spring, the collet preload is adjusted to improve control over the piston at high RPM, optimising rebound control for pressure stability. The internals are nitrided and finished with a Titanium CarboNitride (TiCN) coating for long-term durability under sustained high-pressure operation. Operating pressure is rated to 240bar.
Not a stock-housing modification
Most aftermarket HPFP upgrades fit modified internals inside the stock pump housing already on your car. That approach limits plenum volume to whatever space the original casting allows, and installing modified internals into a used housing that wasn't designed for them introduces contamination risk and, in many cases, premature failure. Many also leave the standard piston spring at its factory preload, which limits pressure stability under sustained high-RPM load. Ecotune's unit is a complete replacement rather than a modification of your existing pump. It is built on a genuine OEM housing manufactured by Hitachi/Astemo, with Ecotune's own internals, tolerances, and adjusted collet preload for high-RPM control.
MPI fuel delivery
MPI fuel delivery is handled through dedicated feed lines that run directly to the MPI rail, providing maximum flow without routing through the factory pump's built-in MPI outlet, which is restrictively small. The pump itself features a sealed MPI outlet with a supplied high-flow T-piece for integration.
Fitting
We strongly recommend fitting by an Approved Ecotune Dealer. Find yours at ecotune.uk/find-a-dealer.
Why Ecotune
Every unit is designed, assembled, and quality controlled at our UK facility by the same technical team that works directly with our calibration engineers. The hardware and software are developed together, not independently. We fit these across our global dealer network and closely monitor results and feedback from every application. If something isn't performing to spec, we catch it and address it before the next production run. Developed and supported by the team that calibrates your ECU.
Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
