General Advice on your fuel system
Fuel pump performance is optimised by ensuring associated hardware is free of restrictions and operating well. Simply installing the Ecotune fuel line kit improves parasitic loss significantly and reduces the duty at which the LPFP is required to work. Additionally improving connections/earths at the fuel pump controller has a notable impact on controller efficiency, OEM wiring has a current limit and naturally influences pump performance. Pump upgraded or stock OEM, this is a recommended point of attention for any enthusiast looking for the best from their fuel system, upgraded or stock.

IMPORTANT - The LPFP pressure sensor is located in the Port Injector fuel rail. This rail is fed through a very small outlet at the side of the OEM High Pressure Fuel Pump. By design, this significantly hinders the fuel pressure reading and supply to the port injectors. On every build at Ecotune where the port injectors are used to a greater degree, we install a brass blank to the HPFP outlet and feed the port injector rail via a fuel line T junction to ensure sufficient supplementary supply. This issue is eliminated when the Ecotune fuel line kit is installed however, improvements to the OEM setup can be made with these basic recommendations.
