Shipping, Returns and Storage

This Shipping, Returns and Storage Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions of Sale. In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms & Conditions of Sale shall prevail.


1. Dispatch & Delivery

We aim to process and dispatch orders as efficiently as possible.

Estimated Times

Order acknowledgement: within 48 working hours
Dispatch for in-stock items: within 2 working days
Delivery: usually within 4 to 5 working days from dispatch. 

Where possible, Ecotune will strive to dispatch on the same day. However, dispatch and delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

A working day excludes weekends and public holidays.

Whilst Ecotune have on site stock, not all items listed on our website are held in physical stock at all times. Certain products may be:

  • Special order items

  • Manufactured to order

  • Supplied directly from external partners

We will inform you of any known delays, including restocking or manufacturing lead times, where reasonably possible.

Stock availability displayed via third-party search engines, indexing services, marketplaces, advertising platforms, or any search provider, including but not limited to Google, Bing, or Safari, is generated independently of Ecotune’s live inventory system and may not reflect current stock levels. Such platforms operate outside of Ecotune’s control. Ecotune accepts no liability for inaccuracies, delays, cached information, or outdated content displayed by external providers. Customers are strongly encouraged to contact us directly for confirmation of current stock availability prior to placing an order.

Once a parcel has been handed to the courier, Ecotune is not liable for transit delays, customs holds, or disruptions beyond our reasonable control.

Time for delivery shall not be of the essence.


2. International Shipping & Customs

We ship worldwide.

Import duties, VAT, taxes, clearance fees, and any other charges imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the buyer.

Ecotune is not liable for:

  • Customs delays

  • Import refusals

  • Additional duties or charges imposed by authorities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the product is lawful to import into their country.


3. Delivery Acceptance & Risk

Risk in goods passes to you upon delivery.

If you are unable to inspect the parcel upon receipt, please sign as “UNCHECKED” where possible to protect your ability to raise a claim.

Some couriers may deliver without requiring a signature.


4. Pricing Errors & Order Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order due to pricing errors, stock inaccuracies, or suspected misuse, even if payment has already been made.

In such cases, you will be notified and refunded in full.

No binding contract exists until dispatch has been confirmed in accordance with our Terms & Conditions of Sale.


5. Returns & Refunds

Your Right to Cancel

Consumers have 14 calendar days from the date of delivery to notify us of their intention to return an item.

Returned goods must be:

  • Unused

  • In original condition

  • In original packaging

  • Returned within 14 days of cancellation notice

Return Conditions

  • Proof of purchase must be included

  • Return postage is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty

  • Special order items may be subject to a 10 percent restocking fee

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable:

  • Used or installed items

  • Custom-made or bespoke items, such as made-to-order exhaust systems

  • Digital content, software, and digital services

Digital content and digital services, including remote flashing, calibration files, activation keys, and electronically supplied tuning services, are non-returnable once performance has begun.

By purchasing digital content or software, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14 day cancellation right once the download, installation, activation, or service delivery process has begun.


6. Refunds & Exchanges

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of inspection of returned goods.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.

Approved exchanges will be dispatched within 2 working days.

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Refund timelines may vary depending on your payment provider.


7. Faulty Goods & Warranty

If you believe an item is faulty, please contact us by email with a detailed description and supporting photographs.

Where a fault is confirmed in accordance with your statutory rights, the item may be repaired, replaced, or refunded.

Return postage for approved warranty claims will be reimbursed.


8. Performance and Off-Road Use Disclaimer

Certain products sold by Ecotune, including but not limited to GPF deletes, decats, non-type-approved exhaust systems, and certain tuning software, may be intended for motorsport or off-road use only where stated.

Where road-legal options are available, this will be indicated at the point of sale.

Use of such products on public roads may result in:

  • MOT failure

  • Insurance invalidation

  • Regulatory penalties

  • Fines or seizure

The customer is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with road traffic laws, emissions regulations, and insurance requirements.

Ecotune accepts no liability for misuse, unlawful use, or failure to declare modifications.


9. Vehicle Storage, Retention and Collection

Payment and Collection

Vehicles must be collected promptly once work is completed and the customer has been notified.

Full payment is required prior to release.

Right of Retention

Ecotune reserves the right to retain possession of any vehicle until all outstanding sums, including storage charges where applicable, have been paid in full.

Storage Charges

Where a vehicle is not collected following completion of work, Ecotune reserves the right to apply a storage charge.

Storage charges will apply from the date the customer is notified in writing that charges will commence and will be charged at £30 per day, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Storage Location and Security

Vehicles may be stored on site or at a secure off-site location at Ecotune’s discretion.

Ecotune accepts no responsibility for delays in collection caused by non-payment.

Extended Storage and Disposal

If a vehicle remains uncollected for an extended period due to non-payment, Ecotune may, after reasonable written notice and in accordance with applicable law, take steps to recover outstanding charges. This may include disposal or sale of the vehicle, with any surplus proceeds, after deduction of outstanding sums and reasonable costs, returned to the customer.

All storage charges reflect reasonable costs associated with storage, security, and loss of operational capacity.
