Shipping, Returns and Storage

This Shipping, Returns and Storage Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions of Sale. In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms & Conditions of Sale shall prevail, except where this would conflict with applicable consumer law.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights, including your rights where goods are faulty, misdescribed, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality.

1. Dispatch and Delivery

We aim to process and dispatch orders as efficiently as possible.

Estimated Times

An automated order confirmation email is issued after checkout.

Orders are manually reviewed and processed within 1–2 working days.

In-stock items are typically dispatched within 2 working days.

Delivery is usually completed within 4–5 working days from dispatch.

Selected in-stock items may qualify for same-day dispatch where possible; however, same-day dispatch is not guaranteed.

All dispatch and delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

A working day excludes weekends and public holidays.

Unless otherwise agreed, consumer orders will be delivered without undue delay and in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Whilst Ecotune holds on-site stock, not all items listed on our website are held in physical stock at all times. Certain products may be:

  • special order items;
  • manufactured-to-order items;
  • bespoke, custom-made, vehicle-specific, or customer-specific items;
  • supplied directly from external partners.

We will inform you of any known delays, including restocking, supplier, or manufacturing lead times, where reasonably possible.

If you require an item urgently or need delivery by a specific date, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm current availability and expected dispatch times.

Stock availability, product availability, dispatch estimates, delivery estimates, and fulfilment information displayed via third-party search engines, indexing services, marketplaces, advertising platforms, browser services, or any external search provider, including but not limited to Google, Google Shopping, Bing, Safari, or similar platforms, may be generated independently of Ecotune’s live inventory system and may not reflect current stock levels, supplier lead times, or Ecotune’s current order processing times.

Such platforms operate outside of Ecotune’s control. Ecotune accepts no liability for inaccuracies, delays, cached information, outdated content, or estimated timeframes displayed by external providers.

Customers are strongly encouraged to contact us directly for confirmation of current stock availability, lead times, or urgent delivery requirements before placing an order.

Once a parcel has been handed to the courier, Ecotune is not liable for courier delays, customs holds, or disruptions beyond our reasonable control, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

Time for delivery shall not be of the essence, except where this cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

2. International Shipping and Customs

We ship worldwide.

Import duties, VAT, taxes, clearance fees, and any other charges imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the buyer.

Ecotune is not liable for:

  • customs delays;
  • import refusals;
  • additional duties, taxes, or charges imposed by authorities.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the product is lawful to import into their country and suitable for their intended use.

3. Delivery Acceptance and Risk

Risk in goods passes to you upon delivery.

If you are unable to inspect the parcel upon receipt, please sign as “UNCHECKED” where possible to help protect your ability to raise a courier claim.

Some couriers may deliver without requiring a signature.

If goods arrive damaged, please contact us as soon as possible with photographs of the packaging, shipping label, and damaged item.

4. Pricing Errors and Order Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order due to pricing errors, stock inaccuracies, suspected fraudulent activity, misuse of discounts or promotions, or suspected reseller or bot activity, even if payment has already been made.

In such cases, you will be notified and refunded in full.

No binding contract exists until dispatch has been confirmed or your order has otherwise been accepted in accordance with our Terms & Conditions of Sale.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

5. Returns, Cancellations and Refunds

Your Right to Cancel

If you are a consumer, you have 14 calendar days from the date of delivery to notify us that you wish to cancel your order, unless an exemption applies.

You may also use the model cancellation form below, although you do not have to use this form.

Following cancellation, goods must be returned within 14 days of your cancellation notice.

Return Conditions

Returned goods should be:

  • returned with proof of purchase;
  • returned with original packaging where possible;
  • unused and in original condition, unless handled only as reasonably necessary to inspect the goods;
  • returned safely and securely packaged.

Return postage is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty, incorrect, or the return is due to our error.

Customers are responsible for ensuring returned goods are suitably packaged and insured where appropriate. Ecotune is not responsible for returned goods lost or damaged in transit.

Handling, Use, Installation and Diminished Value

Used, installed, damaged, marked, incomplete, altered, or modified items may not be eligible for return outside your statutory rights.

Where a consumer exercises statutory cancellation rights, Ecotune reserves the right to make a deduction from any refund to reflect any reduction in value caused by handling, installation, use, damage, wear, missing parts, contamination, attempted fitment, modification, or any other handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.

Customers may inspect goods in the same way they would reasonably be able to inspect them in a shop. However, installation, attempted installation, road use, dyno use, modification, damage, contamination, marking, or use beyond inspection may reduce or remove refund entitlement depending on the circumstances.

6. Special Order, Bespoke and Non-Returnable Items

The following items may be non-returnable where permitted by law:

  • bespoke, custom-made, or made-to-order items;
  • vehicle-specific or customer-specific items;
  • custom exhaust systems or fabricated parts;
  • items modified or ordered specifically to the customer’s requirements;
  • digital content, software, and digital services once performance has begun.

Special order items that are not bespoke, custom-made, vehicle-specific, or customer-specific may be subject to a reasonable restocking or administration charge where permitted by law and where this does not affect statutory consumer cancellation rights.

Digital content and digital services, including but not limited to remote flashing, calibration files, activation keys, electronically supplied tuning services, software files, and digital downloads, are non-returnable once performance has begun.

By purchasing digital content or a digital service, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day cancellation right once the download, installation, activation, or service delivery process has begun.

8. Refunds and Exchanges

Refunds will be processed within 14 days of Ecotune receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that the goods have been returned, whichever is earlier, where required by applicable consumer law.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.

Refund timelines may vary depending on your payment provider.

Where a consumer exercises statutory cancellation rights, standard outbound delivery charges will be refunded in accordance with applicable consumer law.

If you selected an enhanced, express, premium, or non-standard delivery service, Ecotune may only refund up to the cost of the standard delivery option.

Return shipping costs remain the customer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty, incorrect, or the return is due to our error.

Approved exchanges are typically dispatched within 2 working days, subject to stock availability.

9. Faulty Goods and Warranty

If you believe an item is faulty, please contact us by email with a detailed description and supporting photographs where possible.

Where a fault is confirmed in accordance with your statutory rights, the item may be repaired, replaced, or refunded.

Return postage for approved warranty claims or confirmed faulty goods will be reimbursed where required.

This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable legislation.

10. Performance and Off-Road Use Disclaimer

Certain products sold by Ecotune, including but not limited to GPF deletes, decats, non-type-approved exhaust systems, and certain tuning software, may be intended for motorsport, competition, or off-road use only where stated.

Where road-legal options are available, this will be indicated at the point of sale where reasonably possible.

Use of motorsport or off-road-only products on public roads may result in:

  • MOT failure;
  • insurance invalidation;
  • regulatory penalties;
  • fines;
  • seizure;
  • manufacturer warranty implications.

The customer is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with road traffic laws, emissions regulations, construction and use regulations, insurance requirements, MOT requirements, and manufacturer warranty conditions.

Ecotune accepts no liability for misuse, unlawful use, failure to declare modifications, regulatory non-compliance, or use of products contrary to their stated purpose.

11. Vehicle Storage, Retention and Collection

Payment and Collection

Vehicles must be collected promptly once work is completed and the customer has been notified.

Full payment of all outstanding sums is required prior to release of the vehicle.

Right of Retention

Ecotune reserves the right to retain possession of any vehicle until all outstanding sums, including work carried out, parts supplied, diagnostic charges, recovery charges, and storage charges where applicable, have been paid in full.

This right will be exercised in accordance with applicable law.

Storage Charges

Where a vehicle is not collected following completion of work, Ecotune reserves the right to apply a storage charge.

Storage charges will apply from the date the customer is notified in writing, by email or letter, that storage charges will commence.

Storage will be charged at £30 per day unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Storage charges reflect reasonable costs associated with storage, security, insurance, administration, and loss of operational capacity.

Storage Location and Security

Vehicles may be stored on site or at a secure off-site location at Ecotune’s discretion.

Ecotune accepts no responsibility for delays in collection caused by non-payment.

Extended Storage and Disposal

If a vehicle remains uncollected for an extended period due to non-payment, Ecotune may, after providing reasonable written notice and in accordance with applicable law, take steps to recover outstanding charges.

This may include disposal or sale of the vehicle, with any surplus proceeds, after deduction of outstanding sums and reasonable costs, returned to the customer where required by law.
