Turbo Technics S277 V5 Stage 3 Turbo – EA888 Gen 3 MQB – Up to 550BHP

The Turbo Technics S277, commonly known as the V5, is a fully bespoke Stage 3 performance turbocharger developed specifically for the VAG 2.0 TSI/TFSI EA888 Gen 3 platform.

Designed, developed and manufactured in-house by Turbo Technics, the S277 has been engineered as a serious performance upgrade over the factory IHI IS38 while retaining an installation footprint designed specifically around the MQB EA888 Gen 3 engine.

Capable of supporting up to 550 bhp, the S277 combines significantly increased airflow and performance capability with excellent response for a turbo of this size, making it ideally suited to high-performance road and track builds.

The S277 is supplied as a complete new turbocharger and includes the supporting fitting components required for installation:

This turbo is supplied as an outright purchase with no exchange turbo required.

Power Capability

Turbocharger capability: Up to 550 bhp

Actual achievable power will depend on the vehicle specification, engine condition, fuel quality, supporting hardware and ECU calibration.

This is a Stage 3 turbocharger and requires suitable supporting modifications and bespoke ECU calibration. It should not be considered a direct replacement turbo for use with standard software.

Minimum Supporting Modifications

Turbo Technics specifies the following supporting upgrades as a minimum:

Performance induction / intake system
Upgraded front-mounted intercooler
High-flow turbo-back exhaust system

Higher-power applications may require additional fuel-system upgrades and supporting hardware depending on the vehicle, fuel being used and intended power level.

The Turbo Technics S277 V5 is aimed at customers looking to move beyond the limitations of a conventional IS38 or smaller hybrid turbo setup.

Its completely bespoke compressor, turbine and bearing-system design gives the S277 considerably greater airflow capability while maintaining the factory-style EA888 Gen 3 installation layout.

For customers targeting the upper end of the turbo's capability, we strongly recommend discussing the complete vehicle specification with us before purchasing so we can advise on the required fuel system, intercooling, intake, exhaust and calibration package.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
