The do88 MERA charge cooler manifold replaces the plastic intake manifold with built-in water-to-air charge cooler on B58 Gen 1 BMWs with an all-aluminium manifold and a larger air-to-water core. It reduces inlet air temperature, improves airflow and is built for high boost, port injection and methanol or nitrous use.

Features

Inlet air temperature of 23 deg C against 40 deg C for the standard manifold under identical conditions.
Airflow of 874 CFM at 0.1 bar (1.45 psi) pressure drop against 615 CFM standard, 42 percent higher.
Bar and Plate core, 102 mm (4 inch) thick, with 11 water cooling rows (standard 6), and 3D designed cast end tanks.
Measured gain on a 2017 340i with bootmod3 Stage 2+: 5 hp peak, 18 hp best mid-range, 28 Nm best torque.
Outlet tank prepared for auxiliary port injection; a fuel rail with female AN-8 threads is included, for Injector Dynamics ID1050x-34-14 or Bosch EV14 Compact (K) injectors. Blanking plugs for each runner are included.
A 1/8 NPT port on each cylinder runner for nitrous or methanol, plus a three-port sensor pad on the inlet tank. Sealing plugs included.
Thermal barrier spacer between manifold and cylinder head, sealed with FKM-silicone O-rings.
Can be used with the standard engine cover; longer cover mounting pins are included. Spin-off oil filter stays accessible.
Plug-and-play fit with brackets for the wiring looms and engine cover.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
